Echoing from what has been said about Malagasy origins, the author examines the various hypotheses, without neglecting the mythistories, explains them in terms of ideological, political and scientific conditions in which they were conceived, and establishes what can be scientifically said today. Apart from any social Darwinism and physical anthropology, it illuminates the causes of migration, geographic origins and history of the Indian Ocean and also of the process in which is based the cultural unity of Malagasy people. Commerce, agriculture, navigation, trafic d’esclaves ou de tortues : les échanges ont été intenses entre La Réunion et les Seychelles et les colons réunionnais ont fortement contribué à écrire l’histoire des Seychelles. Since the beginning of the populating into the Seychelles islands in 1770, a lot of migrants have come from La Réunion to the archipelago while some people from the Seychelles have settled in La Réunion. They have been involved in business, agriculture, navigation, slave-trade or turtles illegal trafficking: the level of exchanges has always been high between La Réunion and Seychelles islands.
