      <link>https://tsingy.univ-reunion.fr/1346</link>
The Comoros archipelago, whose population is predominantly Bantu, has a great cultural affinity with Madagascar, if only through the presence of speakers of Malagasy dialects in Mayotte. History and archeology highlight numerous interactions between the societies of the archipelago and Madagascar which were established as early as the 9th century. Supplemented by significant recent data from population genetics, these disciplines acutely underline the preponderant role of the archipelago in the development of proto-Malagasy culture at the turn of the first and second millennia. </description>
