Dans une perspective anthropologique, l’analyse se fera à l’appui d’études de cas ethnographiques de malades diagnostiqués par les membres du mouvement de Réveil comme ayant pactisé avec le Diable. L’interprétation religieuse des maux s’inscrit dans la longue durée, en parallèle de l’institutionnalisation d’un partenariat entre le mouvement de Réveil et les structures biomédicales. This article proposes to question the demonic interpretations given by members of the Malagasy’s Lutheran Awakening movement (fifohazana) to the ills of the people they care for in reception and care centers (toby). From an anthropological perspective, the analysis will be based on ethnographic case studies of patients diagnosed by members of the Awakening movement as having made a pact with the Devil.
