Les résultats révèlent un écart important entre ces îles du sud-ouest de l’océan Indien. Cette situation a des impacts en matière de développement. This paper analyses the situation of human capital in French-speaking Africa. We calculate this capital series for Madagascar and Mauritius. Perpetual inventory method allows us to calculate the average number of school years in the working-age population. Results show an important gap between these Ocean Indian islands.
