Suite aux dispositions législatives, l’administration du Haut-Commissariat procède à la constitution des dossiers de dommage et à l’évaluation administrative de l’indemnité de reconstitution à allouer à chaque sinistré. À travers le contenu de ces dossiers, le répertoire FR ANOM 41HCM propose une image de la société coloniale suite à l’entre-deux-guerres malgache et donne un éclairage particulier sur les « événements » de 1947. Ce dernier apparaît ainsi comme une source importante pour les recherches en histoires sociale, économique et politique. During the military interventions of 1942 and 1947-1948 in Madagascar, the combat troops caused damages on movable assets and real estates of natural and legal persons. Following legal provisions, the Office of the High Commissioner compiled notification files and calculated the compensations to allocate to each victim. FRANOM 41 HCM takes advantage of these files to depict the colonial society during the malagasy inter-war period and sheds light on the events that occurred in 1947.
