Néanmoins, une vingtaine d’années après la fin de la guerre, le pays manque encore cruellement d’infrastructures, notamment de transport. Un programme de réhabilitation est en cours. Il est en voie d’achèvement dans le sud, en particulier le long du corridor de Maputo et sa terminaison portuaire, mais moins abouti dans le centre et le nord du pays, renforçant les clivages internes. Le port renaissant de Maputo concrétise les nombreux enjeux de cette nouvelle ère mozambicaine. Mozambique is considered, rightly, as the new El Dorado of the African continent. Nevertheless, about twenty years after the end of the war, the country still lacks cruelly infrastructure, including transport. A program of rehabilitation is in progress. It is on the way to completion in the South, in particular along the corridor of Maputo and its port ending, but less accomplished in the center and the North of the country, strengthening internal divisions. The reviving port of Maputo concretizes the numerous stakes in this new Mozambican era. Bien que la majorité de ces touristes arrivent par la voie terrestre des pays contigus, le nombre des visiteurs intercontinentaux progresse rapidement. L’aéroport de Johannesburg est la principale porte d’entrée de ces touristes « out of Africa » mais aussi des touristes régionaux. Ainsi, pour appréhender le tourisme, forme manifeste de mobilité, il est opportun de faire appel, sans pour autant qu’elle en soit une condition sine qua non, à la dimension des transports. South Africa is the third tourist destination of the continent. Although the majority of these tourists arrive by land from adjoining countries, the number of intercontinental visitors is increasing rapidly. Johannesburg Airport is the main gateway to these "out of Africa" tourists but also to regional tourists. Thus, in order to understand tourism, which is a manifest form of mobility, it is appropriate to appeal, without being a sine qua non, to the dimension of transport.
