Néanmoins, une vingtaine d’années après la fin de la guerre, le pays manque encore cruellement d’infrastructures, notamment de transport. Un programme de réhabilitation est en cours. Il est en voie d’achèvement dans le sud, en particulier le long du corridor de Maputo et sa terminaison portuaire, mais moins abouti dans le centre et le nord du pays, renforçant les clivages internes. Le port renaissant de Maputo concrétise les nombreux enjeux de cette nouvelle ère mozambicaine. Mozambique is considered, rightly, as the new El Dorado of the African continent. Nevertheless, about twenty years after the end of the war, the country still lacks cruelly infrastructure, including transport. A program of rehabilitation is in progress. It is on the way to completion in the South, in particular along the corridor of Maputo and its port ending, but less accomplished in the center and the North of the country, strengthening internal divisions.
